Summary of Skit[]
A science class demonstrates that dinosaurs have bird effects.
Transcript[]
(A scene of sauropod is seen roaring in a jungle. It reveals that it’s shown projected in a television at a science class.)
Teacher: "The problem is, class, that dinosaurs are only members of the bird family and do not roar. Let's watch how we can demonstrate, shall we?"
(The first scene depicts a scene in Jurassic Park. The Tyrannosaurus is chasing a jeep, but instead of roaring, it chirps like a bird. Next scene shows Godzilla destroying some buildings, who is shown crowing like a rooster instead of his trademark roar. The third scene shows Tweety as a dinosaur, with Sylvester as a saber-toothed tiger clambering on a branch. The branch snaps and Sylvester falls off.)
Tweety: I tawt I saw a puddy tat.
(Cut back to the teacher.)
"And there you have it. Now, who wants to see slides from my vacation."
(One of the students throws a booger at the teacher.)
Trivia[]
- Godzilla, a Jurassic Park T-Rex, and Sylvester and Tweety (from Looney Tunes) make a cameo appearance as a saber-toothed cat and a sauropod respectively.
- The reason in which Godzilla crows like a rooster might be a possible reference to the Pathe News intro.
- This segment may be a reference to the fact that dinosaurs are more similar to birds than to lizards. In fact, birds themselves are considered to be living theropod dinosaurs.
- It should be noted that the science tutor in the segment had completely mixed up the classification. The accurate saying would be "Birds are members of the dinosaur family".
- Interestingly, it has recently been discovered that dinosaurs really didn't roar after all and vocalized more like crocodiles.
