Transcript[]

(Start at the Avengers Audition waiting room)

Man: Thanks, Hulk! We'll let you know if you make the Avengers!

Hulk: (Comes out of doors) Phew! Audition over, Hulk can relax now.

(Hulk morphs back into Bruce Banner)

Bruce Banner: Whoa, where am I? Avengers auditions? Huh, maybe they can use a scientist.

(Bruce Banner enters the room)

Bruce Banner: Hi, uhhhh... I'd like to audition for the Avengers.

Iron Man: Well, you're the first person who didn't dress the part of a superhero, so I like you already.

Captain America: Uh, I thought we agreed we're going with the Hulk.

Iron Man: Let's see where this goes.

(Later, Hulk is back in the waiting room.)

Nick Fury: Okay, everyone. You can all go home now. The final Avenger is... The Hulk!

Hulk: Yes!

Nick Fury: or Bruce Banner. Call backs are tomorrow.

Hulk: Call backs? (roars) HULK SMASH!!!!

(the title card shows up)

Hulk: Me thought you say Hulk was shoe-in! Now Hulk not have shoes and he's not in! Hulk no like word play game!

Captain America: Sorry, Hulk. We thought you were.

Black Widow: but Stark seems to like this Bruce Banner guy. He says he's green.

Hulk: Wha.... Hulk is one who's green!

Black Widow: He means fresh and inexperienced.

Hulk: Ohhhhh, more word play! But can Banner do this?

(Hulk roars and smashes the desk)

Captain America: I guess so.

Hulk: Okay, well... how about this? 5, 6, 7, 8!

(Hulk dances in a broadway style)

Black Widow: That, I don't know.

Hulk: then Hulk work on that more. Tell Hulk he not green.

(Later, Bruce Banner is talking with his parents while they're having dinner in a fancy restaurant)

Bruce Banner: Mom? Dad? I might get to be an Avenger!

Rebecca Banner: Oh, honey. Is that something you really want to do?

Bruce Banner: What do you mean?

Brian Banner: We'd much rather see you working a dangerous job at a high-risk gamma radiation plant than getting bitten by the superhero bug.

Spider-Man: Actually, that's my origin. Not his.

Bruce Banner: Ugh! Why won't you support me on this?

(Bruce Banner walks away angrily. The song "Marvelous" starts)

Backing vocals: 🎶 Ba da ba 🎶

Bruce Banner: 🎶 All my life, I learned chemistry. Now I've got to learn choreography! Guess I'll lose the test tubes and abacus, cuz' right now I have to be marvelous! 🎶

(A piano lands on Bruce Banner, which causes him to turn into the Hulk)

Hulk: 🎶 Brawn and muscles don't mean a thing, cuz' now it seems they want me to sing! Used to crush my enemies with a bus, but right now I have to be marvelous! 🎶

(It shows the Hulk's picture on a newspaper that Bruce Banner is reading)

Bruce Banner: 🎶 Gray or green, red and mean. that Hulk, I really, has range. If I fix the nose, rip the clothes, oddly enough, our pants are the same 🎶

(Bruce Banner becomes The Hulk)

Hulk: 🎶 Speaking good not one of my goals, Hulk need to move like Beyoncé Knowles. Banner is good from what I am told. The Hulk is the one who can... BELT!!!! 🎶

(It shows Bruce Banner with a top hat and cane)

Backing vocals: 🎶 Yeah! 🎶

Bruce Banner: This is where I tap with the strength that all humans have.

(Bruce Banner starts tap dancing)

Backing vocals: 🎶 Marvelous! 🎶

(It shows Hulk in Tony Stark's house, wearing a powdered wig.)

Hulk: Happy birthday, Mr. Stark.

Tony Stark: Hulk, this is not the way to get the job.

(Hulk roars and throws a chair. One of the backup dancers catches a yellow chair and Bruce Banner sits down on it),

Bruce Banner: 🎶 Gamma rays, set the stage, this role could surely be mine. If not for the Hulk, I will sulk, if he shows his face at JUST THE RIGHT TIME?!? 🎶

Backing vocals: 🎶 Just the right time! 🎶

(The backup dancers go around Bruce Banner then back away from him as he becomes the Hulk.)

Hulk: 🎶 I want to say "Avengers Assemble", not to lose to some dopey Ken doll. He's so smart, they make such a fuss, but Hulk is the one who's so MARVELOUS!!!! 🎶

(The song ends. Hulk is seen in the audition room)

Iron Man: Okay. Well, here's the good news. After all that, it appears that you and Bruce Banner are the same person. So, you're in.

Hulk: Yes! What the bad news?

Iron Man: Apparently, you both paid to see John Carter.

Hulk: Oh.... Hulk hopes that's word play.

When Nick Fury holds a picture of Bruce Banner, you see four celebrities on it. Three film actors play in three films and one actor play in one TV Show:

From the Caricatures page in Steven K.L. Olson's website, the concept art stills for this segment has Bruce's outfit having a purple shirt and blue pants. They were later switched in the final draft of this segment being aired along with iChronicle to match his alter ago, Hulk's pants.

Goofs[]

In the comics and movies, Bruce Banner's mother and father died, but in this sketch they're still alive, probably due he might be having hallucination and see his parents in hallucination (ghostly).
Ironically, as Nick Fury show the picture of four actors who played Bruce Banner. One of them is Mark Ruffalo, which Bruce was caricatured from him in this sketch.
