Shark Tank is an American reality television series which premiered on ABC on August 9, 2009. It is based on the British show Dragons' Den. The show features business pitches from aspiring entrepreneurs to a panel of potential investors. As of 2012, the show was averaging 7 million viewers an episode, and was the most watched program on Friday nights in the 18-49-year old demographic.
