- This is the first time the X Factor was referenced, the first appearance of the Alfred E. Neuman for President segment, the first time Frank Welker did not voice Garfield, the only time Katamari Damacy and the Woman in Black get spoofed, and the only episode of MAD to let an Ad Parody to spoof a Foreign film (the Woman in Black).
- This is the second time John Carter and Franklin & Bash get spoofed.
- This is the 15th time Spy vs. Spy was done in stop-motion.
- This is an episode of MAD Season 3 to premiere on Monday night at 8:30 PM once, but on Monday, January 21, 2013, they resumed airing new episodes on Monday nights at 8:30 PM with Episode 73.
